Those scoops looks horrible now... at least make them a little deeper and paint the inside black.
Doug, cant wait to see what you come up with. I think that maybe some different lights would be good

69 Boss 302 didn't have the non functional side scoops, but 69 Boss 429 and Mach 1 did. I would prefer they left them off.
This car looks like a combination of the 69 Boss 302 (blackout treatment) and the 429 (hood scoop)
I wonder how you get into the trunk now. Didn't like it at first but the rear shot made it more appealing.

I could be wrong of course, but I'm pretty certain this is accurate.
Which means that the boss 302 in your post with the c-stripes is incorrect. Again, I believe c-stripes were 1969 only on the boss 302s. Which means that the Boss in the pic, w/ no side scoops, is a 1970 body with 1969 c-stripes.
Like I said though, I could be wrong.

About the 69 Boss 302, no rear fender side scoops.
Just a little history, Mr Shinoda didn't have enough time to change the rest of the 1969 Mustang line, but he did order some changes for the Boss 302.
Here's something from the 1969 timeline section of this site,

The most exciting addition was the first Boss 302, which was a fastback with a high-performance version of the 302cid engine. The exterior featured side striping, a partially blacked-out hood, front air dam, rear spoiler, and no side scoop on its rear fenders. For more information on Boss 302s, visit Boss302.com.

I stand corrected. Like I said, I could be wrong.
And I thought I knew my history....

Glad to help with the history lesson, I was even around when you could buy a
new one off the lot.
Still remember cruisin' the dealership when I first saw a 69 BOSS 302, a yellow one.
