Ok so i've been wanting a tat for years now, but never figured out exactly what I want.

Here's the idea I had. It will be a tribal of some sort around my upper arm. I want in the middle either this sun (from the band godsmack, since its probably my fav, or something similar. Then a tribal band that starts on one side of the sun and wraps around to the other.

What I want from you guys is designs or ideas for the band and/or sun symbol. Think anyone can help?

Here's the godsmack sun as a reference. Most of you guys know me and know what I am like so feel free to put whatever you think would best suite me.

 

Add a pentagram to it.

My tat stung like a mother and mine was on my outer calf...I can just imagine the inside of the arm..YOUCH!

One thing I forgot to mention guys, this would be very high up on my arm, just under my shoulder, and what i'd like is for the rays from the sun to extend somewhat up onto my shoulder just a bit.

 

Or you could get a flamed mustang like I did

Those designs are really neat. They're attractive but not overbearing

 

I wanted to get the cobra logo with a tribal band starting and stopping around it on my ankle, but anj wouldnt let me.

 

Okay, gave it a longer top and bottom "flame."

Good looking design.

I'm thinking about my right arm so I will have one for each. I am leaning towards a barbed wire pattern with 3-4 red blood drops coming down.

 

Tell me what you guys think? I love hte sides from Dougs the best, but I love the center and verticle lines that Chuck did. So this is what i am trying to get at with my bad photoshop effort. Maybe chuck or doug want to touch up what i am trying to do.

 

Thats looking good man! The only thing I might change would be the horizontal marks to a full black color so they don't fade as easy.

 

well yeah they would, but i was just taking what doug had done and photoshopped it over what chuck had.

 

Scott, I really like the combined design.

Doug would probably be the better one to work out the modified version.
He skills for that kind of work are way beyond mine.
