something w/ features of Paint & Acrylic

I need something basically the same as paint, except i need to be able to select single objects instead of everything within a box.

Acrylic does this, but does not allow me to put stuff on top of each other like paint.

I got it from Acrylic.

I don't want to pay for Photoshop since I don't do anything that serious.

I was trying to post pics of what I ment, but didn't have time.

I need objects to paste on top of each other like in paint (first pic), but still need to be able to select specific objects like in acrylic and most other programs.

I have a program, I'm not sure where I got it now, but it is called arcsoft photostudio, it is just like photoshop, but is free. btw, thanx for the link...

Apparently they only have trials of that programs too now.:dono:

In Acrylic, and other vector programs--Adobe Illy...etc., it's very easy to stack objects, but you should create new layers within your image.
Place the objects on different layers and you can also shuffle the layer order too.
