Ok so i havn't really done much comic drawing for quite some time so i am very rusty... here is a third of a page from a 15 page book im working on right now.


I know it looks like its the classic batman origin story but it really isn't and you will have to read the comic book to find out why.

I will update with more as i make them... this was a good easy one to get in the grove...

I actually started coloring it before I scrolled down and saw yours...hope you don't mind.

Yours is wayyy beter than mine..this is just about 5 mins of messing around

 

you seriously made that before seeing mine!? you even put the blood in the same spot as on my colored one!

I really like what you did with the word box.. i think i will copy that and use some kind of gradiant.

Also i love the way you did the jacket of his dead father and the subtle lighting on Batman looks pretty cool!


edit: also i like how you changed background colors..so it kinda betrays a innocence in the first and it leaves him with a vengence in the batman days.

What program are you "inking" this with?

 

Basically throw everything you know about batmans past in the garbage. The only thing that you'll recognize in this story is the personality of the characters. But their history and origin is all new.

I am using plural because the story revolves around Batman and Superman.
