Ok here is one for you
This was started about 2 years ago just after a trip to Epcot in Florida. I had taken a pic of these masked girls in Epcot's Italy. I think they are there all the time. But anyway they kinda creaped me out. So i had this pic (sorry i don't have the origianl pic in digital but i hunted the web and found the same costume somone else took a pic of see below) that was in the same pose as I drew it below and thought man they would make cool looking robots. so i sketched the photo and modded it to look robotic and then took a digital photo of the sketch and brought it into photoshop and started rendering it.
Below is the reference costume , the sketch and the Work in progress, and some detal shots
The idea of this character was a machine world that was occasionally visited by humans and when someone visited you were greated by The Emmesary wich is depicted below.
