i personally like A/T's on a V6 and would've gotten a V6 but the GT was just a better deal and almost 10k less

I'm pretty sure they are the mufflers on the GT/CS and the GT500

Sounds nice, but those are NOT GTA's. GTA's are only available on the
GT/CS and from Ford Racing. They are made by Supreme Performance for Ford Racing.

GTA's are not and never have been installed as original equipment on a GT500. If you have GT500 takeoff's, they're just regular old Ford mufflers, they are no different than what's on a GT.

Well, when I'm wrong, I'm wrong! GT/CS, Shelby GT, Shelby GT500, Shelby CS6....

I blame Ford for the confusion

I was 1/2 right

Sixty six is right - that is my car and the part number for the muffler checks out the same as for the GT - they came off a GT500 but are not the GTA's but they are off a stick shift Mustang and not the automatic since it is from the GT500, and I believe that they have polished tips, at least they look different from my friend's GT -- I'm happy with the sound and no drone on the highway now (the Flowmaster AT drone at 70-75 after I put the 3.73's in was too much - couldn't talk to a passenger and had to turn the radio way up to hear it).

F1-7849-L/R are manual mufflers (supposedly a little louder)
F1-7991-L/R are automatic
both come w or w/o polished rolled tips (separate option, S.A. package)

& for some reason the GT500 uses the auto mufflers even though it's a manual.
