Im still leaning toward the Procharger. If Vortech offered a complete kit out of the box at a competitive price, then I would consider them.

As far as already owning a tuner, you can resale that in a minute around here.

Methanol or even H2o injection is the way to go no matter what system you go with. Thats not a cheap add on either though.

We will have a complete system with replacement injectors and a DiabloSport Predator soon. We are still fine tuning the beasts.

We wanted to get the tuner kits out since we have all the hardware ready to go...

When you say beast, I picture something with atleast 325RWHP.. Is this something you can deliver with oohh I dont know, 8 or 9psi?

Seriously, what kind of numbers should we expect from Vortech?

Also, based on experience and pure gut instinct, what will the motor hold onto in your opinion? With every ounce of knowledge you have contained with in, can Vortech bring 400RWHP dailey driving to a V6 Mustang with stock internals? LOL!! I way out on the branch.. But since i have you here, I might as well appreciate the time!

Hey Steve, thanks for stopping into the forums! IF you can give us ANY information on the system it would be great. We wont hold you to your word on any numbers or parts, but estimations are GREAT to us. Its like adding tanks gasoline to a forest fire around here...

And if you need incentive, I know there are a number of guys looking to buy as soon as we see the market. And remember we're the ultimate peanut-gallery. Convince us its the product to buy, and you're going to see people buying it!

**As of right now and this may change**

The standard system will have around 8 psi
The charge cooled system will have around 9.5 psi

Both will include 39 lb replacement injectors and a DiabloSport Predator. No replacement fuel pump or DiabloSport MAFia needed (so far in our tuning). The Predator will have tunes for 91 octane. That's what we have here in SoCal. 3-year limited warranty on the blower standard, not for an additional fee. We are using the same air intake system as the GT. CARB approval is still pending on all 2005 Mustangs. For the charge cooled setup we will be around 330-350 at the motor. Percentage wise that is a 57%-67% gain. Wheel horsepower? Well take whatever percentage off that for loss. 15% will get ya 280-298 RWHP. Of course this will be, again, tuned for 91 octane and fairly conservative. I forsee about half of the V6ers to get a custom tune with other performance goodies and leaning up the mixture to get more power.

Retail on the standard system will be 3295.95 satin finish
Retail on the charge cooled system will be 4295.95 satin finish

**Again this is all estimates and may change**

Is the test car a manual or automatic? Will you be offering a package w/o the diablo for those of us who already have one or an SCT? Seems pretty reasonable that with some 93 and a custom tune we might be seeing 310-320rwhp easy. WIth some P&P work that'd be some really good numbers. Might be able to play around some larger injectors too..

How has the engine been holding up? Any problems with it yet? How much stress have you been putting on it?

We have been testing on manual and auto cars. We do have "tuner" kits that do not come with the Predator or the injectors. You can purchase the kit and get injectors from us or elsewhere. As for durability, to early to tell. We haven't blown any up yet. (knock on wood )

If you're on the fence re: procharger vs. vortech, have a look at the impeller design and the efficiency maps for each unit.

I don't know where to find that and if I did I probably wouldn't understand what I was looking at. Go ahead and spoil it for me, which one is better?

LOL!! Have you tried 12PSI yet? It should hold up.. Anyways, you guys can get more test motors off of Ebay for less than $1500 bucks..

What is crucial is to make peak power before 5500RPM.. Can you tune it to do this? Based on your testing, where was Peak HP made? It is in our best interest to be able produce peak power way before 6000rpm.. We think for the reliabilty of the engine longterm this is best..

What are your thoughts on this?

Also, will we have to punch a hole in the oil pan for your setup?

The nature of a centrifugal supercharger is to make peak power at peak RPM. more or less. You could probably pulley the blower to make 10 psi at 5500 but you'd be in trouble after that. You would have to shift early. Never seen it done, but what the heck.

Well, what is yur opinion on this.. Do you think going to 6000 or 6100 is ok? Also, what would you like to see.. Remember, I am asking you the questions.. Your Vortech.. Help me, help you Forced!! LOL!! Talk to me, what are your thoughts on the limits of the 4.0? Nothing has really been proven yet.. Thats why your here... Your going to prove things for us right?

Sure we think it is OK. That is why we are doing it.

Of course we can only provide short term durability. So for the GT has responded well to our system. We hope to have the same success for the V6.
