Vortech Needs Your 2005 V6 Manual Trans...

We need a 2005 manual trans V6 for final testing of a production system. If you are in the SoCal area and will let us borrow your stang for 2 weeks...you can get an standard or aftercooled; polished or satin setup for zip, zero, nada....

Yea, no kidding. Actualy the list seems to be GA, FL, MI and CA. Living in DC area, having access to VA, MD and WVA and we still can't get any sponsor. The one place I thought would sponsor me turned out to be bait to get me to spend a couple thousand dollars.

Let me dig up some notes, I know there are some body/graphic shops down there. Graphics Express, specializes in 3m high quality racing stripes and other vinly products was looking for some beta testers for the 05's. And I know there is a body shop down there too, I'll go through what i have and get back to you.

Now I remember, Steeda is the company down in FL. I know they have a project car for the V8, and they have a Steeda branded 6, but that is for just bolt ons. Might want to give them a call:

Its sort of like Rat Race. Vortech will have like twenty V6's racing to SoCal to win the pot.
I like it; surely a tremendous marketing opportunity. Issue every "team" a video camera and force them to record at least half-an-hour of entertaining footage. Vortech footage techies can cut together the most entertaining bits, buy airtime from some network, make it like 10 episodes long, and whoever gets there first gets the supercharger. Then the last show of the series would show off the install, dyno time, then have the lucky winner bang out some 1/4s at the track.

Thanks to all for the responses. I have compilled a list and past it along to our R&D Manager. Please keep the emails coming...I have done this many times and people fall through so it is good to have alternates....plus I'll have a list of folks that may be interested in getting a fattie discount on our initial shipment....stay tuned!
