I have heard that the V6 exhaust was "corked" because it was keeping up with GTs too well. Exactly what part of the exhaust was corked? Is it the muffler that is restricting exhaust flow, or the piping? If it was just the muffler, wouldn't the best performance exhaust mod be to put a performance muffler in place of the stock one and leave the piping alone?

 

most lilkely the system as a whole....manifolds...cats(for sure)...piping and mufflers(smallest restricion i would imagine)

 

It would be the first and cheapest mod. to try. I have used magnaflows before and I liked them!!
