I have yet to hear my Mustang from the outside, underload or revving, only in idle. I don't trust anyone to rev it for me, and I would really not like to ask my dad to show me something like that.
It does have a decent sound from inside, it even gives a whine that sounds like a small blown engine would.

OK People I finally got my GT take offs installed. I now have a duel exhaust on a V6. I didn't have to order the extra clamps from ford either. What I did was took the clamp from the forward most part of the muffler, and put it on the drivers side and placed in the farthest rear position. This way both mufflers are now hanging from 1 clamp each, and in the right position. Then I got the muffler shop to fab up the clamps for the rear of the mufflers to help hold them in place. Plus I order the Drivers side exhaust pipe for the GT from my dealer. I then cut out my own rear bumper after makeing a template of the passenger side and transfered it to the drivers side I used a dremal tool to make the cut. Looks very nicly done. I had the muffler shop make a Y pipe. So I go from the stock Y to a made up Y that is reversed out to the duels GT mufflers. Talk about a sweet sounding V6. Plus this way if I ever have to reverse it back I only have to by the exhaust pipe for the rear part of the V6 to make it stock again. Except for the bumper of course. But I'm very happy with the sound and the extra kick I have picked up for doing this mod. On the intake side I have the K&N drop in filter, and no retuneing required.

So what did it cost, because I have the GT mufflers and want to do this too.

That's a good idea! Unfortunately I already ordered the clamps, I'm waiting on them to arrive so I can get the conversion done too. Did you run a single GT muffler before switching to the duals? I'm curious if it's going to be louder, softer or no different with the duals. I'm afraid it's going to be softer.

I'm curious as to the cost too. Mac performance has a setup that does pretty much the same thing. I don't really want to cut the Y pipe on mine and have it so I can go back to stock if nec. Not that I think I'll have to. I think the setup is $449.00. Bolt on....no cutting or welding.

"So what did it cost, because I have the GT mufflers and want to do this too. "

Ok Now my costs are in Canadian dollars so it may seem hi...lol
2 GT Takeoffs - $100.00
GT Drivers side exhaust pipe - $162.00
For the Mufflershop - $145.00

Grand total for all $ 407 Taxes included

"Did you run a single GT muffler before switching to the duals? "

Yes I did run the single for about 6 days. Running Duels is not softer it has a throatier growl out of it, but Inside the car I can bearly notice any difference from the single GT muffler in sound. But now it is in deeper when idleing and about the same under normal running. When you floor it the sound makes you smile ...Can't complain about the sound, as it is way better than when stock. Even the guys at the mufflershop where very impressed with the sound. First 05 Mustang they ever did.

Hope that helps
