V6 Burnout question
V6 Burnout question
For the first time last night I have try making a nice burnout with my V6 and didn't work very well, I have try using the gas and break method with the right foot while controlling the clutch with the other one. That by itself went fine but I have niticed that only one wheel seemed to spin. Tried it a second time and again only one mark on the road.
Of course the TCS was switched to "OFF"
My question: is it normal that a V6 would only spin one wheel at the time ?
Do I need to mod something to get both wheels to push or is it just a question of the surface that I was on ?
BTW I have the handling option package (option 552) on my V6 and that came with TCS and anti-lock brakes but do I have anything else different in the differential ?

The handling package does not, repeat does not have traction-lok on a V6 which a lot of idiot salesman will tell you it does. The GT has standard traction-lok but its not even an option on the V6. Your going to need to get yourself something after market for a two wheel burnout. Even the handling improvement of a locking diff is well worth the up grade. I`m not into burn outs but the improvement in accelerating out of a corner is great.
All V6's come with an open differential... thus, the one wheeled burnouts.
Get a limited slip differential and the problem is solved... the Ford Racing T-lok is a popular choice... others are the Auburn and the Detroit TrueTrac.

First its not really for the burnout itself but more of a concern of having traction on both wheels, the burnout was just for fun and I'm not planning to repeat often. But on the other hand I remember seing a couple of video of V6 with two wheels burnout for example that video that went around for a whil of a guy beating the sh**** out of a rented V6 convertible.
So consider more my question as technical rather then useless tire consumption method.....

After all these years,

Mine only does squeals on right turns. Mind you I don't make it a habit- Tires are expensive.
And I do not have TC or ABS on either mustang.
The manual one Does a flat out wheel burn, but I didn't do it, My Dad took the keys and lit em up.
