Has anyone gotten an upgraded alternator for their V6's? Just wondering...anyone have any input on these?

have not heard much "good words" about the pa`s so when mine crapped out at 100k and i was looking, i chose to just have my oem rebuilt for $130 vs. buy a china part for $300 (even if it had lifetime warranty) now that i`m thinking back, you might want to talk to your local auto electric shop. i think they can beef up the oem

for higher output for killer stereo`s, ( which i dont have) not sure what way i would go. sorry, not much help

 

I know this is an old thread but I'd like to know if anyone has any recommendations on upgrading the alt. I was looking at the DOB but it's for GTs only.
I need more power and the OEM one isn't cutting it. I hate having my headlights flicker all the time.

Well that was useless. I emailed him. Asking for any help or advice on it.
All I got back from him was that he doesn't make anything for the V6.
It's like no one knows anything about this when it comes to the V6.
