Hey guys,

Ok, for now here's the skinny....

The underdrive Pulley, singular, will be the crankshaft pulley ONLY. This new peice will be smaller then your stock pulley and therefore use less Hp to turn the accesories. According to the manuafactorer they gained 12 rwhp and 16 rwtq, that will be tested both on an auto and manual

The Price $285 without a belt. Please dont fall out, if you add it up 12 rwhp is about the gain of a Tuner and this can be used on any octane fuel.

This pulley isn't small enough to cause any dramtic voltage drain on your battery so dont worry there. You will still be able to drive and run your a/c and shaker 1000.

Now for the future, there may be another Pulley released that is both smaller, more powerful, and comes with an overdrive alternator pulley and a belt. This system should also net more HP but that is the future.

It is still not available, still about 2 weeks out but as soon as the first one hits the ground BamaChips will have one.

Thanks, Doug.

This sounds great!

Does the pulley reuse the stock belt or do you have to get it seperately?

You'll probably need a new belt, with the smaller pulley I would imagine anyway. I'm sure it comes with the belt size in the instructions. If I sell them they will include a belt but they may bit a bit more.

Thanks, Doug.

This kind of service is unprecedented!! You really should be given an award Doug!

Somehow, you must try and convince Zodiac to be the first victim.. He's already at 208RWHP and 241RWTQ..

If you post a dyno sheet of his car at 220RWHP, and 257RWTQ without any type of power-adder, people are going to go nuts!!

Ok everyone, lets ambush Zodiac, blindfold him and shove him in the trunk...

Doug will slide his credit card, Jimp can do the Dyno pull and I'll post the new dyno sheet! LOL!!

We'll let Scrming drive the car back to his house, and let him out of the trunk...

We have to let Scrming go back, because his car has nitrous.. He's the only one Zodiac wont be able to run down, after he gets out the trunk!

Sure, I'll let Zodiac test it and for the drive home I'll put his speedlimiter at 65mph hhhahhaa. I have a local guy with an auto but I'm definatly interested to see what it can do on Zodiac's car as well.

Thanks, Doug.

Hmmm... something to consider when adding duals and heads. And then with a little nitrous... I MIGHT be able to catch Rygen (he lives around here) unless he has already put in his SC....

@ Rygen: Are you doing a little nitrous first for a while or going straight for the SC?

I talked to EB3 today about Nitrous. They said they do a lot of work on Explorer and Ranger (low riders) with Nitrous Express. They said they know the 4.0 and have done TC/Nitrous setups on those before. I like the SC options available now...but a tubro and nitrous setup just sounds better. Hmmm.

Either way, I will be ready for next track season, and will be hunting for some 350Z's.

Also, I need to get my girdle and panhard relocation bracket installed too. And now I think I want pulley's installed before the spring.

I have to keep the FRTLOK push it's limits.

Man, I might have to hit the track with you. Otherwise, why the f am I doing all of this stuff? The Turbo and Nitrous DOES sound intrigueing. Hope the internals can handle both.

What changed your mind on the girdle?

Nothing, it has always been part of the plan. Just need to do it.

Doug, will this underdrive pulley work on my 2004 4.0 Ranger? I may be interested in acquiring one for each vehicle.

This is my first post to this board, but I’ve gotta say that this is the best (and by far most interesting) Mustang forum that I’ve come across.

Just wait til next track season, when I smoke some ricers. I got to see a 700HP eclipes today.....or that is what the owner said....unfortunately he cant get into the 12's.....guess he is having a hard time putting the power to the wheels.

I would like the proof on that one... And Eclipses are FWD aren't they? Still, 12s are good... What kind of power adder?

Yeah, I think I am going to have to go to the track next year. When does track season start?

Yep, this was a older one...definitely fwd and yes, 13's are good, but for that type of power I think he might not be getting all the power to the rear wheels. I am going to ask him if the rear end was enhanced or replaced. that might be why. It had a turbo on it, nitrous, and the mechanic said they did a lot of work on the heads/cams/pistons etc. I will dig up the details and PM them to you.

Ya know I think its funny that a 700hp Eclipse runs 13s yet a 300 hp Mustang runs the same thing.

Just goes to show you that TQ is the great equalizer... Scrming's car with the 100shot is at 384RWTQ 253RWHP... He runs a 13.4.. A stock GT is @ 265RWHP and 272RWTQ.. They run a 13.5+...

So as you can see, TQ is the most important in the 1/4 mile because of the short distance... HP only kicks in after the 1/8th marker in 4th gear...

Scrming could beat a 700HP Eclipse in 1/8th mile racing... I sure would love to watch it.. The grandstands would go nuts!!
