Tune without a tuner...?
Ok I know that sounds strange... but here is the deal...
I work for a Ford Dealership and have access to their PCM programmer. Is it possible to load a custom tune by say BamaChips or AAuto and use the Dealerships programmer to load it to my car ?
Thanks !

You are totally correct. There is some interface software that is required for any other Product to be used in the .hex format that Ford would require. Not many folks have it. There are Ford calibrators that have access to convert but not many of them either. So basically to answer your question... No you can't use a Ford WGS, Car DAQ or any other flash device to burn a custom file from SCT, Diablo, etc.

If I'm totally wrong, someone will chime in LOL

Because if you could do it via laptop with software/connector people would pirate the software and companies like SCT couldnt make a profit of $350 for every $379 device they sell.
I understand you are not only paying for the device, put the research put into developing it as well, but you know they gotta be making a gigantic profit off of these things.
