I just had a muffler shop install 2 flowmaster 40's. They ran a true dual setup meaning no h or x intersection. My mustang now sounds like a beast and vibrates the heck out of the car and I want to tone it down some. It is almost unbearable when steady at 2 grand. I did some research and realize i should have the shop run a cross section (h) between the 2 pipes just like the gt's have. This will help some with the unbearable harmonics and torque. What about resonators? Does it make sense to add resonators to my setup or get 2 milder mufflers. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I would definitely get resonators, get the sport style they are a bit longer(18"-24"total length) than a stock resonator. If you can get them to put the cross section in, I would do that also. I'd like to hear that.

You need to have a crossover to help balance the gas pressure on both sides. You are running it inefficiently, and have most likely lost some power.
