Turns out that the 2005's have a HEATED Throttle Body! Not sure if the 06/07's do or not... but basically in the 2005, there is HOT engine coolant running through the bottom of the TB... Now proof of actual gains... but at least in theory it has to help... LOL!

I've got a write up here: http://www.v6john.com/Main/Performan.../tb_bypass.htm

I'd try this:

1 - CAI/Tune (I recommend Bamachips!)
2 - Underdrive Pulley
3 - Muffler or duals if you'd like
4 - Gears (3.73's or 4.10's)
5 - Headers (long tubes or short tubes)

Enjoy!

Slowjoe24 - Yeah. I've been really pleased with my JLT and tunes from Bamachips. Doug installed it all himself and the car just flat out hauls now. The race tune will put you in the back of your seat so hard. It's fun! Haven't ridden in a V6 with the same CAI and tune but I'm sure the effect will be similar with just less gains in hp/tq.

free things that will make you go faster
1. remove all that heavy stereo gear.
2. remove your carpet underlayment
3. remove the insulation behind yout rear quarter panel trim (interior)
4. no more than 1/2 tank gas
5. remove your rear seat and cover the space with a black sheet.

On subject and after you change your fuel filter and plugs
1 CAI/tuner
2 gears/lsd
3 exhaust
4 tires
5 LCA's

But you won't be able to stop there!!!!

I was kinda disappointed by that article. I've heard and seen some conflicting data on the pulley and mufflers as well. It seems to me as if they didn't try to hard to really get the most out of the car. I've seen people from different boards with alot more power gained from MUFFLER, CAI AND XCAL and they state 10HP from the pulley. I've haven't seen that myself,. Now I'm hoping that others will prove me wrong so I know where to go next. I hope this helps.
