Swapping out single exhaust for a dual.....advice please!
OK so I just bought a new V6 Mustang. I am at step one of mods-I need to swap out the single exhaust for a dual setup. I need some pictures of what kinds of setups ya'll have and some advice on how to make it sound good. PLEASE AND THANKS!

Yes I know this. I posted this one also in case you didn't notice. I am now wanting PICTURES of everybody else's conversions to see what they did. I didn't ask for pics in the other posting.

Ive got a Pypes Peformance X-Pipe with FRPP Stingers on my car and I love the way it sounds. Yes its loud, and yes it drones but I love it. Not really sure what you looking for in terms of pics. I dont have any pics of the underneath of the car where you can see the x-pipe and such, but if its muffler tip pictures your looking for Ive attached a pic of my car. I have a video/sound clip too but I cant get it to load right, sorry.

Now when you say it is loud, that is a pretty broad word to use. In what sense is it loud? Do people turn to look because they can HEAR you coming?? LOL....or is it so loud that you have to scream at your passenger when you are driving down the street? How did you get the valance like that? The V6 valance only has one cut out.
By loud I mean people turn and look when I drive by, and when I start it in a parking lot people turn to look as well. When cruising on the highway or letting the rpm's go over 3000 or so and cruising there talking to a passenger can be a bit difficult because of the drone. Personally I like the sound, but it may be a little too loud for some people. It doesnt sound ricey and at all and has a nice deep rumble, but like I said it can be a little overbearing at times.
I have a GT500 rear bumper on the car which is seen in the pic above but originally I just made a template off the stock cutout in the bumper and took a dremel and cut out the drivers side as well. Heres a pic of what that looked like:

PERFECT! That helped a lot!
I am just being so picky and cautious about picking the new exhaust system for my car. If I am gonna spend big bucks, it is gonna be PERFECT!

I put my JBA true duals w/ H-pipe on about two years ago.
I like them pretty well. Sound wise they're not much different from a single with a good aftermarket muffler.
Appearance wise they fill out the rear. I cut out my own bumper by making a paper template of the right side them flipping it over and marking the left side then cutting it with a very sharp hobby knife. Then filed it smooth, touched up the paint and it looks fine.
I mostly did it because I knew I was going to install a supercharger and was told with F/I it helps the flow.

We used all GT takeoff parts, from the "H", the mid-pipes and also the mufflers. It was a simple bolt-in except the two welds on the "H" where the GT pipe was welded to the stock downpipes after the cats. The first pic is the original rear. The second shows the welds. The third is the completed job with a GT fascia. The fourth pic shows the car as it is today. Hard to believe it's the same car.
