I was on the Steeda website and noticed they are selling a Magnaflow Axleback for the V6 for 239.00. My question is, is it the single or the duel??? I was under the impression that the duel was the only Magnaflow that has been released as of yet. If it is the duel, that is a heck of a price, if it is the single, it is still fairly cheap for 10 more horses.

 

...dual... and no i believe that is the single for that price, i remember seein somewhere it was in the 400 or 500 range for the dual.

 

Wow nice find, that is the first place I have seen that had the single magnaflow axleback for sell. I think it is by far the best looking single out there and I love the idea of 10 extra hp. But from the sound clips at magnaflows site it sounds like it could be a bit loud for my tastes.......then again sound clips can very so much by how close they put the mic to the muffler and if it was recorded in a garage or out in the open. Someone hurry up and buy one and tell me what you think I cant live with my stock muffler for much longer!!!

 

Called Steeda today, this is indeed the Single and they have them on the shelf now.... Fighting temptation real hard not to order. My wife may just shoot me if I do, haha. Seriously, I am not sure if I want the duel or the single, any suggestions?

Is there a good reason not to get the dual, save for the price?

 

Well, I suppose the only reason to get them is for the looks.... The single and duel both produce 10 HP.

 

For the sound, Steeda has decided to use the Magnaflow single exhaust for their production V6 car-

They were very impressed by the sound, the gains, and the price-

I ordered yesterday (the same day I took delivery of the car!) tracking says it will be here by Friday, installed on Saturday (hopefully!) Sounds clips to follow..

 

OK, so I installed the Magnaflow yesterday. Very easy install and I'm very happy with it. It certainly makes a great noise. Clip attached, not the best quality but all I had available.

Nice rumble to it and no popping. Question, did you unhook the battery to install? I'm not sure why you would need too, but after reading some other posts, I was wondering.

I did, basically because the instructions told me to (I'm good like that) I'm sure it would have been fine without, but best be safe than sorry.

 

I also ordered one. It should be here the 27th.

 

Hmmm... I wonder if Steeda is the only place that is going to carry the singles? I am been holding out to see if other manaflow dealers are going to carry them with the hope of getting a better price, but they sure are takeing their time.

 

I emailed gnn60gt500 and he said that Steeda just got theres out first, so I would think it should be anyday now that they show up on Magnaflows and other dealers sites. I wanted to be sure it was the exact same one and he said it was. I can't wait to get it installed.

the install wasnt too bad. i gotta admit the sound is pretty cool. now its no gt but the sounds makes it seem like the 6 grew a pair. is it worth 240? hard to say but i am definately happy with it.
