Silly Pony Package Question of the Day

I've been looking at getting a V6 w/the Pony Package, (gas milage/daily driver et al...) While I like the components of the package the grill and chrome corral just don't look right to me. Been rumaging around on the internet and can't find much. Would like to keep the fog lights, but could swap them out with the standard size (GT) lights I guess.

I'm curious if anyone has come across a grill for the Pony Pkg?

Regards,
Chuck

Stang22, I'm going to attempt to install a GT grill in my V6 without changing the bumper. I have an idea on how to do this, may seem a little drastic to some, but I will let you know how it goes. As far as replacing the Pony lights for the GT style, I don't think it can be done without looking too "hokey".

Street Scene has a kit designed to fit the V6 bumper.

ds63 Don't do it!

You say you have an Idea, go ahead and purchase another bumper. you will need it. the GT will not fit in the v6 I tried everything even cutting the inside lower corners to hopefully accomodate the GT grill, it simply will not fit to your satisfaction, unless you don't care what it looks like. the next problem is the mounting tabs, if you stress them your %$&*ed, because they become flimsy and bend when you try to mount the grill, and then there's the number of tabs Gt has more than V6 or vise versa, just put the pony grill in or buy a GT grill required front fascia. I hope this helps, here's a pic of my V6.

I had a Pony Package grille ready for my GT when I brought it home, won't work. They say you can MOD a GT into a V6, but not very well. I suggest an aftermarket grille or swap bumpers as well.

The aftermarket has too many nice grills specifically made for the v6 Mustang to be trying to rig up a GT grill to fit in a v6 opening. I personally like my center foglight grill made by Street Scene.

I've given up on that project, it won't work. The corners are the problem.I just ordered the Street Scene Grille today. I think it could work but I didn't want to junk a bunch of parts to do it.
