S197 V6 Twin Turbo Dyno @ 6psi
I was not whining.. Only pointing out that there are other things in life than Mustangs.. Thats all I'm sayin!!
I'm just doing the best I can with a $4k mortgage payment, and an x wife that tricked the judge into $1400 bucks a month in child support and alimony... LOL!!
My current wife is great, and allows me to spend alittle money on the car.. But yeah, I cant throw alot all at once or she will start asking questions... I also pay $900 bucks a month in health care.. LOL!!

You guys go on and on and on and on about how MSP likes to argue. Well, you're giving him a reason to argue! If you were to just ignore him, maybe it wouldn't happen. Instead, you fire right back from your armchair cockpit and launch your counterattacks. It sounds to me like you ALL like to argue!
As for you, MSP. I'm impressed. I really am. Sure, I would like to see some 1/4 mile times, but I'm not gonna push it. The 1/4 mile just isn't as important for me as it is for some. Still, you really do owe it to the community to get out there and see what that thing will do.
Oh yeah, I have a solution for your money issues. Get the hell out of California. I left there 12 years ago and never looked back. I have an ex-wife that gets $1300 a month from me. She was asking for $2600! Trust me, $1300 a month is a lot more than $1400 in Colorado...
This pretty much sums up what is completly wrong with this thread. He doesn't owe the community anything. Did the community pay for the mods? I don't think so. He doesn't have to do anything with HIS car if he doesn't feel like it. People need to stop living through other people's cars. Want to know what a TT V6 mustang runs? GO BUILD ONE YOURSELF.

Besides, he has said more than a few times he'd like to sell this design. If he can't convince the enthusiasts who are more likely willing to work through the hiccups, how the hell could he make this commercially viable?
Oh wait... most people looking for a performance buy it for the HP rating, not the speed it'll do the 1/4 mile in. Maybe I'm wrong....
Don't forget, I was siding with MSP in this matter. I like to think I'm being biased, as I've disagreed with him on many occasions in the past. But HP is pretty much a standardized measure of power. The 1320 is a measure of a car AND driver's overall ability, and therefore cannot be standardized. I still haven't perfected my launch. I'm pretty sure my car is good for 11's, but I've only run a 13.2 due to something going wrong in the rear end. If MSP is simply looking to make the most power he possibly can, then let him.
TURD....... flapjack has a beast himself that he built up and has done everything HIMSELF........ as a supercharged v6 his car is 440+hp !!! WITH plenty of room to go.. just look at his sig he has plenty of videos on the net at
Exactly. Supercharged does not equal TT. He obviously has the money to throw around. Again, stop racing other people's cars. I'm sure this group of people is familiar with showing up a meets and going on and on about how "their buddy's" car could beat blah blah blah. Just shut the **** up. No one cares. If he wants to post, he'll post. Leave him alone.

MSP has also been talking smack for the last 18 months (since he got his Vortech). He post about how awesome his car is and how fast it is... and makes claims like it will "brutally rape" everyone else... He makes this claims with nothing more than a few dyno sheets... Now, I'm not picking on Flapjack, but his car is an example of HP DOES NOT EQUAL FAST. I understand that he was having problems with his rear end.. but then again I ran a 12.85 with an open diff. (my clutches were completely FRIED in my t-lok!!!). Am i some great kind of driver? No... I've worked my suspension, ok tires, etc... I ran a 12.85 with quite a bit less HP! Again, it takes more than just HP to get a good ET!
Bottom line, post all you want about HP and dyno numbers... but if you come into a forum and talk smack about how fast your car is... and how you are going to brutally rape eveyone else, then you better be prepared to back it up with more than a couple of dyno sheets! And after 18 months of bragging about how fast your car is... well, it becomes time to put up or shut up...
The people who respect me most are Powerhouse Turbo owners.. Every single one of them support me tremendously.. They have never attacked me or discouraged me from self innovation.. Publicly they allow me to be attacked and say nothing.. Privately they show me tremendous respect and support..
I actually have a great deal of respect for the body of work that MSP has created, so if this post shows a "public" display of support then hopefully that quoted paragraph can be struck down!
I can see where Rmays and Scrming are coming from as I have read the same posts over the course of the last year+, but I guess I don't let some of the comments get personal. I know MSP can come across as brash, but I don't think he means ill will by it, merely his excitement and passion being put into text that would come out better if for example we were all standing around a room in person.
We all have different goals with out cars, of that there is no doubt. Scrming has built the ultimate show and go car. Rmays has a N/A beast of a car that is one of my favorites because of the fact that each mod he has done accentuates the S197 perfectly. Flapjack has a monster and I would have to say that if he had a month or two in a state with a low elevation track he would break 11's. MSP is going for all out power and I can respect that. If he never hits the track I would still respect it, as we all have different goals. Maybe some of his statements rub the wrong way, but I think I know him well enough that he is just letting his passion try to be worded and it doesn't translate to text the way he means it.
Sure I would love to see him hit a track after the car gets dialed in, but hey, it's not my car, I can only control my destiny. I learned from reading about his build so in my opinion that is all I can ask.
Each of us contribute to the community in different ways. Good luck to all of you.

Do you remember when MSP TOLD us we can't spin our motors above 5500 RPM or bad things were going to happen? Or the time he TOLD us that if you cut a sub-2.0 60' you would break a pistion (based solely on my broken motor)... He makes these blanket statements with little or NO PROOF. And when you question him, he goes right to the personal attacks, instead of trying to have a rational debate... He expects you to drink the Kool-Aid, no questions asked...
Yes, MSP has made contributions as we all have.. but he has also made some blunders, as we all have... the thing is we are all man enough to admit we goofed and move on... that is not MSP's case...
I've said it time and time again... MSP is doing a great jobs with his TT... but I simply suggested he tone down his rhetroic... and what did MSP do? He launched into me being gay... hmmm...
I'm passionate as the next guy about my car... but I've never called anyone a "*****" and I've never been banned...

Since when is the 1/4 mile the ultimate definition of a car's performance!? In your mind, yes. Not in everyone's, though. Stop shoving your impression of what makes a car great down everyone's through. Yes, I like the track, but nowhere near as much as some people. When I do upgrade my car, I upgrade it with the 1/4 mile in mind, but yes... I've had some problems.
You know, you of all people do not have the right to come in here and say that someone else is arguing, being rude, making comments, etc. Other than MSP, I can think of no one else who argues on the various Mustang boards more than YOU. Think about it. At the center of all these MSP arguments, you're there making it worse. That's right, worse, not better. You guys complain about how he loves to argue, but you're feeding right into it. The nasty comments are there, too. And to top it off, the things you've argued about with me with have been mostly off! Yes, you've been wrong on many occasions. Does that mean you shouldn't post? Does that mean you shouldn't be arguing about them? No, it just means you thought a certain way and felt strong enough about it to post. MSP feels pretty strongly about his setup. Obviously, or he wouldn't make the comments he does. He may very well be wrong for saying the things he says, but that doesn't take away his right to post. If you don't like it, ****ing leave.
I really can't believe you would drag me into this. Yes, my rear end broke. Does that mean my car is slow? Hell no. It just means that something in the long equation that equals a 1/4 mile time wasn't right.
You guys need to remember, he's not comparing ETs, he's comparing HP.... a measure of POWER. Yes, he is a dyno queen. But, if he can address all the factors that others who go to the track have dealt with (track prep, environmental conditions, traction, suspension, vehicle weight, driver weight, driver ability, etc...), his car WILL be faster than yours if it makes more POWER. Leave the guy alone for once. If you don't like it, stay out of it. It'll make a better environment for those of us who DO want to read this thread.

Do YOU remember saying the TrueTrac was a grenade waiting to explode and that the T-Lok was a better option?
What do you have to say to those?
Well crap! MSP pulled all the information, ****it! Hopefully he didn't pull it from the same thread on v6power or modular.
That's my point... Just because MSP has a TT setup and his goal is strictly making HP, it does NOT GIVE HIM THE RIGHT TO LAUNCH PERSONAL ATTACKS! I don't care how passionate he is, he does NOT need to resort to calling some one a "*****"... why can't he have an honest debate? That is what i'm questioning!
This is how MSP has operated for the last 2 years.. he posts something, someone questions him, he attacks him, he pulls his info and then "self-bans" himself...
Wow John, I didn't foresee me getting into it with you, but this statement it completely irrelevant and inflammatory. WTF are you talking about ETs for? MSP is not about to post ETs, but you guys keep on haranguing him for NOT posting them. You're freaking great. You amaze me. You ran a 12.85 with an open diff and less HP. Does that make your car faster? You're **** wrong if you say it does. In fact, if you're so great than you can probably just get in my car and run the 1320 and prove it. Common sense, John. HP does equal fast if everything else is good.

@scrming
Well, I apologize. I didn't see the "*****" comments or the "gay" one. Totally wrong, but my whole point was not to get involved in the first place. If you know how MSP threads have the tendency to spiral out of control, then why do you waste your time?
I hate to be accusatory, but it sometimes seems like you guys overreact and succumb to the "thrill" of the fight.

I was trying to not get involved in this thread... but... I know Ron... he's a good guy and I'm proud to consider him a friend.... sorry.. I just could not turn a blind eye..
