I just got my SCT X2, and I was looking through the instructions that came with it. It says before you flash the computer that you have to disconect the fuel pump and electric fan fuses. How do I do this? Thanks.

It's in a box in front of the battery. Very easy to do. Look in your manual. Note that it is NOT the fuse box in the passenger-side kick panel (which is a pain to get at).

you don't need to do this. I was talking to doug at bamachips about it. Doug says certain models need to do this due to the X2 needing to use the battery for power to download the stock tune and it doesn't take that long in the 05 mustang. I didn't do it. NO problems here. The first time it takes like 3 min. to download and load but to change tunes it takes less than a minute.

Ok, I got my MAC CAI installed and reflashed the computer with no problems. I thought that this might not really be necessary since I had never heard of any doing it before.
