question about the dual exhaust i just had installed

I just had my dual exhaust done by a shop for which i brough him all the parts to the setup

my question is he welded the mounting brackets to the driver side ,,

did he have to weld it? doesnt the v6 have the same screw holes?

because he had to bend the muffler hanger in order to fit it and now the driver side is drooping due to the hangers being bent upwards

next question.. how difficult is it for me to remove the welding spots?? would a dremmel and a cutting wheel do it?

thanks

Hey jcopin,
I had the same problem with the shop that had put on the gibson exhaust that I had on my ride. The jerks welded the mounting bracket to the muffler on the drivers side and when I had the exhaust system redone they had to break it off to get the gibson's off and put on the Flowmaster's .

Check you later!

The V6 has the holes for the mounting bracket, but they need to be tapped with a 8M-1.25. I just installed the FRPP dual kit on my V6.

If you take it to a shop, they weld **** near everything. Tubes, mounts, all of that. It's faster, and will not likely come off is why

They also like to use that torch to cut the metal off too. It's their favorite tool box. They can't loose their 9/16 box end that way either.

take it back to where you had the work done and have them fix it. You paid them for a good job go back and get it.

Didnt somebody already ask this? v-6 has same holes as gt but you have to run bolts trough to cut threads and you also need the another set of muffler hangers and 2 more bolts if you still have the extra set of bolts from taking off the v-6 stock muffler
