Predators and the v6
Anyone who got that CAI/Tuner deal from rmpoutlet, what was the deal with the tune that the predator was supposed to come with for the v6. I am looking into the predator/aem bruteforce but predator doesn't even offer a 2005 mustang v6 CAI tune, so is this a rip off or is there another place to download or get it?
I like the SCT2 don't get me wrong, but for around $450 I can get the pred and an AEM of AFE cold air intake versus getting the SCT2 and cold air intake for $450, so I am only picking the pred based on money and the fact that a tune is a tune (if I can get a tune)

Get the SCT if you have an automatic. I bought the RPM outlet combo, guess what, the C&L tune it was supposed to come with dosent exist. I was on the phone with rpmoutlet and with diablo. Also, the SCT has more settings for the AUTO tranny. I'm switching to a SCT this month, going with Doug on it.
My pred is for sale if you want it. LOL.

I was afraid that RPM's ad was mistaken, not only do they highly inflate their HP numbers they also don't give you what they advertise!
I have a manual and just need to tell my car to give more air when needed and maybe in the future adjust my spedo for bigger tires, anything that can do that and i'm in.
I also like the brenspeed.com SCTII/CAI combo

My X-cal 2 From Doug at Bamachips is supposed to arrive on the 9th!
No one around here seems to tune with Diablo... made my choice pretty obvious.

Let us know how it goes.

The Pred can do that, and I hear it is great on the manuals. If you want it cheap let me know, otherwise...it's ebay time!
I second BrenSpeed with the Xcal2 and Mac CAI. I have an automatic and I really like how it turned out. It was like $540 or something. So it is more... But alot of people have it and they like it so that's why I tried it.
I currently have the Steeda intake, and X-Cal 2 89 tune package from BrenSpeed on my car...
In the spring I plan on adding the following items, will a new tune be needed with them (will it add more gains)?
- True Dual Exhaust with H pipe
- Under Pulleys
- Wider Tires, same diameter
Thanks...If anyone can help me out.

One more thing to consider... I dont know anyone around me either that tunes using the Predator. And Im not letting just anyone touch my car much less try and tune it. Predator tuners seem really uncommon.. so unless you're lucky and have a good one nearby you're going to be stuck using canned tunes the rest of your life, or driving long distances.. not my thing.

How much is cheap?
If I can find someone to either download the tune from or get a tune for a CAI I would be in, otherwise it is worthless to me....

I rock the Predator on a manual, don't have the money to go to a real tuner so the canned tunes are all i've got. I have the brute force/predator combo. Once I come into some money I'll look into getting my car tuned and possibly switching to the SCT if it makes sense. but as far as manuals go, I'm plenty pleased with my purchase. Fair warning on the brute force: if your car doesn't have ABS, then you're going to need an extra bolt/nut/washer combo to bolt down the bottom of the heat shield. If not you get a bad rattle at low RPM's and I'm sure it's not too great for the set up.
I've got my C&L and Bamachips 87 octane SCT tune in.... it's a simply amazing difference. I'll try the 91 octane tune on the next tank o' gas.
I think both the Predator and X-cal 1 or 2 are great. Your choice might just depend on what your local dyno tuner uses, unless you stick with canned tunes.
