I have noticed in several pictures, noteably this one -

That the pony package comes with these wheels? The ones with the mustang logo in the center, i was under the impression the pony package stang came with the wheels with the ford oval in the center. By stock, with the pony package which wheels does the mustang come with? I personally like the above shown wheels better than the ford oval ones. But am confused since these were stated to be late availability, yet here they are. Anyone have info on this? Thanks.

 

The wheels in the pic above are correct. They are 17" Bullitts--just like the standard wheels on the GT--but with the pony center cap. 2005 and 2006 Mustang GTs come standard with the 17" Bullitt wheel with Ford oval center cap.

The 18" Bullitts are the late availability wheel. Production on those wheels starts in October.

The Performance White Mustang V6 with Pony Package that appears in the Ford press release photos has the wrong center caps.

 

I think that was a last minute change. Like when you saw earlier pics of the 05 model they had a grey circle on the sterring wheel instead of a black one.

I just received my 2006 Pony Package Mustang.
The centercaps are different, they are the mustang, not the Ford logo. I like it better but plan on putting chrome five stars on instead.

 

i dont think the black one is a pony package int. notice no fog switch on the light switch
