Okay, so I got a C&L intake and some tunes from Lidio at Alternative Auto...all I can say is "WOW!"
I can finally spin the tire (singular.....heh) and it acts and feels very smooth, yet agressive when you get on it. Indeed, he knows the V6 autos! :worship:
Anyhow, I'll try and attach a couple of pics:
Sigh...can't get them small enuf to post.

Hehe..actually, this is my second round of CAI/tunes...so it's like "phase 2" already
I'm trying to convince myself that I can live without gears and t-lok, but I'm guessing I'll do that in the next few months...
Our local club is having a dyno day at the end of Jan. I plan to go---doubt I'll do much "before/after" stuff since there will be a number of cars to test. But we'll see It's like $50 for 3 pulls, so I'm curious enough to give it a go even if it's just 3 pulls of the same 89 octane tune!
I'm looking forward to your TI CAI results!

I'll keep you posted on the TI. Good luck on resisting a TLOK. You might be able to resist gears, but one wheel burn outs will get old now that you got your stang nice and quick.
Shall we take a poll anyone? Bets??????

You are very correct Rygen,
It only took me one week after getting my C&L and SCT2 from Doug and I ordered the 3.73 gears & t-lock. They came this week and I'm getting them installed next Tuesday.

Congratulations!
Isn't that a great set up!
What kind of tuner did you get?

I had tunes and a CAI from JMS, but I wasn't impressed, so I "upgraded"

It's incredible the difference in the throttle response.
What do you think about the Xcal?
This is my first real time doing any stuff like this to a car and I was amazed at what that thing can do and all the options in it.
Once I had the intake and the tunes installed I knew I couldn't wait to get the gears and t-lock.
Like Rygen said, those one wheel burnouts just won't do!

Well comming from a canned predator to a properly tuned auto via SCT, I can say the difference is night and day, especially with take offs from stop lights. LOL.
Once you get gears and tlok, it's downhill from there. After that I could really feel the car and I'm guessing its close to being addicted to some sort of drug...LOL. I can't stop! And most of my parts arrived, and now I'm just holding out for the turbo kits to start hitting the market.
I'm sick I tell you...sick sick sick.

The more I see that CAI the more I want it! I seriously can't wait until my next paycheck!

BTW.. I was really surprised at the difference the C&L made over the MMR... both onthe dyno and even more on the street!

I have an XCal2. I sent it to Lidio for updating---he upgraded it to firmware 1.10 and put on his tunes.

Remember the C&L does require a tune... so you'll need that X-Cal2 that's on your shopping list! LOL!

Give him a call--I bet he'll give a decent "package price" on the C&L with tunes, especially since you bought the tuner from him!!

Yes, I got the C&L intake from Lidio, and bought the matching tunes from him for my Xcal2 (which I purchased elsewhere before I knew any better...heh).
