I've already ordered a 05 red metallic mustang and I was wondering what options would I have in order to increase its existing performance (engine wise). the exterior would wait for awhile. I'm more interested what I do with the engine.

Lets see, cold air intake, aftermarket exhaust, pulley set, chips, flash the programming. Take your pick. Search previous threads with these words and you should find what you are looking for.

Electric Supercharger=blowdryer motor-Stay away!! This kind of stuff is for the F&F wannabee buzz bomb set. Wait for a true supercharger kit.

Just a heads up, if you are gonna supercharge the V6, you will want to upgrade the transmission, possibly upgrade to the same transmission the GT has which can handle the extra horsepower and torque.

only the auto trans is the same T3560, the manual is a T5 in the V6 and something like a 3558 I think is the model code on the GT

The V6 manual is the T5.
The GT manual is the TR3650.
They both use the same automatic transmission, the 5R55S.

If you were going to supercharge ($3-4k) the V6 why not get the GT in the first place, just curious, more power to you either way

urgghhh too many numbers thank you holderCA1 for correcting my mistake. I think some of the published specs are wrong as well. Because I could swear that I saw somewhere an article that said the auto was the T3650... oh well kind of irrelevant

What is important is that they have different manual trans, the V6 being the T5 but both models use the same auto trans.
