If I remember correctly (If not, correct me and move on), the 4.0 is similar to the one in the Explorer and Ranger. There is a huge following of that version of the engine and there are several aftermarket components available for it. I assume it will only be a short time before the aftermarket begins parts for the mustang application of the engine. There is a website (blond moment) and I cannot remember it. It is 40literparts.com or something like that. Again, that is for the Ranger and Explorer application.
I have already installed a flowmaster 50 series and a 10x10 k&n filter. The tone of the flow sounds awesome alomost V8 quality! If you have a new stang the airbox is 10x9.25 but you can look up on K&N by size a 10x10 (33-2033) call your parts store and order it I promise it fits! It's a little hard to latch the box closed but hey thats just means it seals good! Go with what works. Didn't want to wait 6 months on a K&N which is what they (K&N tech support) were saying would be the earliest one would be out!
I went to Oreillys to get the k&n it is not a filter they stock! So call it in and order it go in and buy it around $60 w/ tax. It takes a little massaging to get the lid to latch but it does work and it does seal. For the flowmaster I went to a local muffler shop and had them put a standard 50 series and a chrome drop tip wanted a little more retro alot of older cars used drop tips. I did not change anything out but the muffler i did not put in true duals no point without the gt bumper wouldn't look right! It sounds awesome!!! What is it that you want pics of? If you look on my cardomain site you can see the chrome drop tip on the back-passenger side photo. Oh and if you want to cut about 5-10 pounds off your stang v6 and 15-20 off GT there are balancing weights bolted to the top of the muffler.
