OK. the single gained about 9rwhp- very similar to the GT...These responses are great and we should come to a decision in the next several days...

Thanks again for your support-

I really hate to ask the same question again but inquiring minds still want to know about the configuration of the dual system. Is this a full dual system (CAT back) or do you splt the pipes after the rear axle?

Also, the HP gains on the duals would be great to know.

I hope you all go single for the V6. The car would just look so much cleaner that way. I know some people might think its the import look but I'd snap one up for my girlfriends V6 in a heartbeat.

If you can't get much more than 9rwhp you say the single gets, with the duals, it's probably best to stay with the single.

It's already got the single cutout and if there isn't a good increase with duals, it probably doesn't justify the additional weight and hassle of fixing the rear bumper for duals.

Is your single system the whole cat back or just the muffler...and $$$?

Thanks....

There should be no additional gains with the dual exhaust, but we have not dynoed the dual system yet, as if we were to go with the duals, we would need to tune it before we talked about dyno results....

However experience shows us there should be no gain going from the single to duals.....so based on that we are more concerned with the way it looks then anything right now....

The dual system splits apart before the rear axle.

If it's at all economically feasible, you really should offer both versions. I would be willing to bet that the number of people interested in each itineration would be pretty much split right down the middle.

I agree ... as I would be one of THE MANY who will want the Dual Pipes.

Look at GM, they have always had dual tailpipes available on all car lines starting at the bottom. A 4 cyl. Sunfire or Cavalier can have Dual Mufflers with Bright Tips from the factory, but a 210 HP V6 Mustang (much sportier and more potential) should not have it available even from the aftermarket ??

Bottom line ... make both kits available, but make the Dual Kit adjustable so it would work with the one-notch stock bumper cover (hang lower) or an O.E. / Take-Off GT Dual Cut-Out Bumper Cover (look correct). If this is possible.

Ask anyone on 3.8Mustang.com, V6Power.net, or any of the other V6 Mustang dedicated web sites ... they will ALL say DUAL.

I have to agree with ya. Making both available would be preferable. Personally, I'll go with the single so that I don't have to modify by bumper (I'm lazy that way).

Single for the reasons of weight, cost, and same performance gain as fake duals. FAKE DUALS....now what is rice? Now if someone want to run true duals from the manifolds, I would think differently. JMO

Please include a slash cut rolled lip 2.5"-3.0" stainless tip that is well tucked, it would olnly pass the lip of the bumper plastic 1"-1.5". That would look best IMO.

Any news on availability? Single or Dual...

After reading all of these threads, we have decided to go with a single exhaust.

We have decided that most of those who want dual exhaust will end up replacing the back bumper with a factory GT bumper or will add another cut out in order to replicate a GT back bumper.

At this point an aftermarket midpipe for the GT may be modified to fit the V6 rather easily and a cat back for the GT can then be used.

Thank you for all of your input!

What did I tell you the single high flowing exhaust is the right set up for the V6. Wait till I GET my car and then I will see what kind of performance numbers I get with my custom Flowmaster setup

Yeah, I've been searching for a Single exaust too. That way I dont have to do any modifications on the rear spoiler.
Hey "gnn60gt500" can you give us some input on your progress so far, and maybe some sound samples and pics of the exaust. I'll be highly interested in geting one.
