Interior Appearance Package
I'm really interested in how to get the OEM aluminum dash trim, sill plates and door handles. I wanted to get it originally with the car, but I had a difficult enough time finding all the options I wanted I had to make some sacrifices to get it off the lot for a reasonable price. The only thing I really didn't get was that. I figured I could do it after the fact. Well, it's time to look into it. Anyone here know how to do it?
Here you go; Brushed Aluminum for $220:

I just happened to be looking at this over lunch!

Doesn't look OEM to me

I think $220 bucks is pretty cheap to get the look. I bet the true Ford parts counter replacements would involve a full tear-down and replacement of the panels (not a laminate) with a cost including labor exceeding a grand.
OEM means "Original Equipment (by) Manufacturer" All other items/equipment/add-ons are geneally called "aftermarket."
You can replace the door sills - cheaply - by yourself using the OEM sills. OEM Door handles cost about $45.00 each and the OEM steering wheel goes for about $190.00 - I would let the dealer install the steering wheel. All the OEM dash pieces are available - and less than $100.00 - except the piece covering the airbag. You'll need a new airbag and that costs about $600.00. The cost on the shifter is between $100 and $200 (not installed). The aftermaket stuff is a lot less expensive and you don't have to install the pieces covering the radio stack if you don't want to.

I have a proposition here. I'm sure there's a V6 or GT owner that already has the IUP. I'm interested in the Woodview kit, but I don't want all the pieces they're spec'ing out for the application. I only want the pieces over the airbag, vents and instrument cluster. Is there anyone here that would want to go in on this kit 50/50 so I could get what I want and you get the remaining pieces for the stereo, door handles, center console, etc? Just an idea. If no takers, I understand. I don't want to pay $200+ for a bunch of pieces I don't need.
Drop me an e-mail if interested.

Just so ya know, I bought the the pieces ONLY, directly from Woodview. You dont have to buy the whole set. And as for the look I love it. It has a very classy look and feel to it. And very easy to do. You have to call them directly. I spoke to Michele. She was very helpful !!

Funny you tell me that. I got an e-mail from Martin at Woodview this morning telling me I had to buy from one of their resellers; they don't sell direct to the public. I'll try to contact Michele. I have her e-mail and telephone number. Thanks! :P

The Woodview source in CA called me. They want $179 without shipping and tax included. I guess I'd better wait until Michele gets back from vacation next week. I'm not gonna pay an extra sixty bucks to get the same thing you got. :notnice:
