Went to the shop today to get my gears installed along with my FR TLOK. I have to take it easy for 500 miles while I wait for them to break in. But I can already feel the car pull more off the line. Once I hit 500 miles, I will get it re-oiled, probably add some shims and then give it a hard launch and see how it takes off.

More to come on this one!

You got 3.73s right? So it made a big difference?

Did you have to have yours adjusted, reoiled and shims added? My mechanic said at 500 miles, come in and he will reoil them and put more shims on them to get rid of the whine.

Correct me if I'm wrong guys.. But at RaginStormlocks current powerlevel, for him to jump on it, wouldnt endanger the newely installed rear-end would it? He should be able to go from a stop, and rapidly run through 1st through 3rd, to atleast feel the mighty 4.10's propell the car forward..

I can understand lauching at 3500 RPM, with over 300FT Lbs.. But where he is now is not a threat at all..

LOL. Well so much for taking it easy for the first 500mi. I just floored it 10 minutes ago, spun the tires and was up to 100 in no time at all. Wow! Having power to both wheels and the 4.10s is quite amazing.

So much for waiting.

Nice man!! I need to get mine installed when I have a chance.. Still on the back burner..

So tell me how the car felt, now that both wheels were pushing it forward.. I mean, do you feel more in control of the car while accelerating forward? How easy was it to spin the wheels, and about how far did you spin up.. Take a picture of the tire marks as proof... LOL!! Just kiddin.. Dont do that.. Cops are prolly out lookin for ya!

The witness says, "Yes officer. It was a Black GT Mustang".. "You know, one of the new ones.. It shot like a bat outta heck through the stop sign, almost running over my chickens as we crossed the street.. Black GT offica! LOL!!

basically I think they want to make sure the gears mesh/seat together properly... Also don't want to over heat them right away by towing something... LOL

I will work on it. My tune is mild, so the spinning of the wheels was only 2 to 3 seconds, but I can feel this car push from a dead stop adn even when I punch it at 40mph or a rolling stop. Even at 80, she has a lot to give...and dropping to 4th sends her flying. I love this mod. Wow, I thought the tuner and the AFE were cool, this is way better. LOL.

Oh, and guess what...your RPM numbers were close to dead on accurate. Now the muffler drone has moved and I can cruise at 60-70 with no drone! This actually improved my commute, easier to take cell phone calls during the 45 minute commute to DC.

Thanks.

I'll have the wife grap the minidv this weekend to give it a shot. The guy at the shop was cool, he knew muscle cars.....funny thing was the shop was full of ricers. I was there 4 hours and it was so hard not to talk crap to them. There was a sc eclipes in the back, blown engine. A bunch of Civics with turbos in them.....these guys were all standing around talking about how they run in the 12's and two of the guys were like, yea I hit 11's and blew my engine....but it was woth it.

Makes me sick.

They were all gathering around my car though, it was cool. The mechanic was cool, he was telling me what to do next. He was like, get LCA's, I'll hook up your Zex if you want and I'll tune it for you. He said he used to do muscle car work, but the ricers pay his bills. Of course he said this when the rest were not in ear shot.

Dude, your 3.73's are good too, and pretty close. There are pros and cons to both. Mine were just meant to be, remember I originally ordered 3.73s and mustangtuning screwed up.

The TLOK is awesome, I can feel the car hook better off the line. The car dosent waddle in the back like it used to.
