Hi all I'm looking into replacing the stock muffler on my 05 V6 and I need some help: I have it narrowed to Two brands Flowmaster OR Magniflow. Which brand AND what is the designation (i.e. 40,50,80,ect.. series or ss or whatever magniflow uses to tell their mufflers apart) would recomend for a deep somewhat aggressive sound (NOT tinny or ricey!) I dont mind loud as long as I dont wake the neighbors (we have a noise ordinance here But it isnt enforced often) Id appreciate a prompt response cause I want to do the exaust this weekend. thanks everybody!!!
P.S. Im looking for mufflers only not axle-back kits.

Well, I have the Magnaflow so I would be partial. I wish I could post you sound clips but I don't have a way. Its been on my car for a couple of months now and I love it. Its a nice deep throaty sound and has gotten deeper as time passed. I love my Magnaflow. It does not sound ricey at all .

I will tell you something else that sounds good is the Borla that you can buy from Ford Racing. It has a nice deep throaty sound too.

Ahh, these guys just dont know what they're missing out on... I have 2 Flowmaster 40 series and love them! Nice deep sound, but not too overly loud. You can defintly hear the car comming from a few blocks away though.

If I were to go with another single exhaust, I'd go with the Magnaflow or the Ford Racing axle-back made by Borla.

roy... I have a single, and the rattle was caused by one of the new exaust hangers they made was vibrating against some metal under the car, they changed the hangers and it was fixed.
