There's a button on my driver's door. Actually, there are three.

One controls the driver's window. The other controls the passenger window.

There's a third button below those two. Pushing it has no effect. Holding it has no effect. The manual didn't adress it.

Does anyone know wtf it's there for?

Could it be a safety lock for the passenger side window? That's all I can think of if it's not a power door lock button.

Door lock? Could it affect the auto window roll down?

Stand by. I took a pic and now my comp doesn't recognize that it's got a device connected. Better open her up and kick the gerble.

Also, after John H suggested that it was a window lock I went out and tested that. Negative, Ghostrider.

Is it on the 'arm rest' postion of the door? And does it look like just 1 of the two window buttons? Is it located bwtween the door pull and the two windows buttons side-by-side? Convertibles have those - it's the button for the rear windows on convertibles. If you have that button - and you don't have a convertible then you have wrong 'arm rest' on your car.

Aye it looks exactly like a third window button on the armrest, just sits directly under them. together, the three buttons make a sort of inverted V.

I'm sure that's it. They just messed up in the factory.

Hehe that kinda funny. Wire it to the trunk release. Now you have an in car trunk button. Might stink if you go to roll the window down and accidentally hit it while your driving though.

Are you a moron or a maroon. A maroon is a type of purple colour or it could be a coconut type cookie. (joking). I did not get a third button either must be a jokster at auto alliance. Might be worth something though in the future...just like getting a nickel with two heads.

Just think of it as a pre-positioned switch for a future mod. Your car is just begging for some nitrous

Hey, if Bugs Bunny pronounces it "maroon", that's good enough for me.

And I agree with Sean, hook it up as a trunk release. I can't believe Ford didn't give us one, the last three cars I owned had one on the driver's door.
