Well, I'm still in college and so I don't have as much cash to float on mods right now as some of the big spenders on here!!! However, I try and so far here it is:

- GT front/rear bumpers and rocker panels and mufflers - $800 shipped $300 installed
- GT mufflers with custom bent pipe and h-pipe - $250 labor and exhaust pipe
- IUP shift **** - $40
- IUP door sills - $40
- Flat Black door sill letters and stripes - $30
- Flat Black rear vinyl blackout - $30
- Pony Package emblems - $40

That's $1530 so far! Not too bad I guess but I've just gotten started. I still need bullitts and tires asap, then other stuff to make me go faster! I plan on spending another $1700 - 2000 before I'm satisfied for now. Who knows how long it will take me, but hopefully I will have it all done by the time of the TMS meet in Birmingham in September!

Right on Hamidlmnt. Not to brag, but I just paid off my baby last month. So that is one thing that makes me feel better so I know how you feel.

That last payment feels so good, eh?!

Lets see $310 for C&L and $384 for SCT2, including shipping.
That puts me at a whopping $674.

Looks like I have some catching up to do eh?

You can stop now (cough cough dual exhaust. Just walk away (snort burp headers). It's not to late for you (gurgle sniff gears and t-lok)!

My wife isn't going to see this right....

-Exhaust (installed) - 525
-SCT2 - 375
-FRP Gears 3.73 and TruTrack (installed) - 1050
-Dunlop Winter Tires - 650
-17" Bullitt and Pirelli tires - 480
-Vortech H.O SuperCharger (installed) - 4600

Total - $7,680

Still need to install my gauges ($350) for the s/c and really now need to start working on the exterior mod's...LOL so just put me down for $8 G's darn bug....

On the bright side - Paid my pony off before the beginning of the year I just love my pony ...

$476 - 17" Bullitts w/Pirelli's
$30 - GT take-off front sway bar
$320 - GT take-off duals w/H-pipe installed
$20 - Short (14") Antenna
$140 - 10" Dual Black Racing Stripes
$100 - Install for Stripes (not done yet, but given quote)

thats $1086 so far

As soon as I get the stripes and wheels on, count another $650 for a C&L CAI, ExCal II, and BamaChips tune.

Thats about it for me, I think I'll basically be done except I want to eventually get my Bullitts painter black ($200) and trade out my Ford logo spinner caps for Tri-Bar Pony logo spinner caps.

Yeah, my friends keep telling me that I should have just got the GT for the money I'm putting into my 6 but they don't understand that I'd be doing almost all the same stuff to the GT so I'm still ahead money wise. Silly friends!

Red face

Ummm.. I'm definetely brown bagging lunches a lot more these days.

$1,100 -- initial 'mods' basically a bunch of ford accessories bolt ons they did @ the dealer....

Bluetooth car kit
Homelink mirror
Exhaust Tip
Lexan hood guard/bug guard
Mud Flaps
Highway safety kit

some other minor sundries are included here in that figure I cannot recall just now -- but all from the accessories catalog @ dealer....

Then came the aftermarket ---

$149 -- Redline goods shift boot & brake boot.
$200 -- Ultimate Pedals pedals
$300 -- 35% TINT w/ quality ceramic based film to not mess up radar
$399 -- Hardwired Valentine 1 radar w/ remote display unit installed on center console.
$ 59 -- MMR throttle Body spacer (Im serious I actually bought one of these things)
$225 -- Borla Exhaust
$608 -- Steeda CAI & XCAL2 from Brenspeed
$384 -- TrueTrac
$330 -- FRPP 373's and master rebuild bearing kit
$ 99 -- GT Takeoff front brakes & Rotors -- Saleen takeoff parts
$ 29 -- GT takeoff front swaybar (swaybar only --- resusing stock HW) -- Saleen takeoff Parts
$299 -- GT takeoff rear swaybar full assembly & hardware
$330 -- Steeda springs (sport) and G trac brace for the front LCA's
$509 -- JBA Headers (got a smokin' deal on a set of Titanium headers on Ebay. They were drop-shipped
from JBA to my house)
$ 68 -- JBA 9mm blue sparkplug wires (YES I have these)
$1100 -- Saleen HID headlights
$239 -- Classic Design Concepts LED-Turn Signal-in-sideview mirrors
$ 89 -- V6mustangstuff -- side mirror housing covers
$ 39 -- (approx) v6mustangstuff shorty antenna 8" black
$179 -- Webelectric Sequentials
$ 39 -- (Approx --this may be off) the red door sill lettering kit that was mentioned in Brads #1 mod
for the Source Horse. My IUP w/ ICAP has RED letters from this kit.
$29 -- (approx) V6mustangstuff UPR products billit shift ****
$159 -- Steeda 'economy' short throw shifter w/ new bushings
$500 -- Bridgestone Potenza RE750's running on 16" rims.
------
$7461

And, of course, the PENDING list that I am sitting on the fence, have not purchased as yet..

$89 -- Steeda Front Swaybar Mount Brace
$120 -- Steeda Front Control Arm Bushing Kit
$80 -- Steeda Control Arm Relocation Kit
$200 -- Steeda Crome Moly Lower Control Arms
---------
$489

And, of course, the 'it's may be nice to have someday dept:"

$375 -- Saleen GT take off 17" bullitt rims
$500 -- Firestone Firehawks for these rims w/ take-off spinners from my factory 16" wheels..
$399 -- new aftermarket 70mm throttle body just announced recently by blowbyracing ( but hey w/ a
MMR spacer who needsone? )
------
$875

And in case anybody is wondering about my fascination w/ gizmos for the air intake, keep in mind I'm one of those folks who bought the original Vornado Turbonator. I had a 1997 Mazda 626 that I bought new and had it for 176K miles until it got totaled in 10/2004. I kept that car bone stock -- except for.. the turbonator

In fact, it was the redesigned air intake manifold that V6's have over the stock 4.0 motors that was part of the reason to convince me the V6 cars had guts & were not just 'cheaper cars' as compared to the GT.

Most annoying question I get about my car... Why did I not just buy a GT . So I ALWAYS have to explain that these EXACT SAME mods (save the rear sway bar, brakes, front sway bar) would STILL apply. Even the rear axle. The Truetrac grabs a LOT harder than the OEM limited slip.

The UHP summer tires I like (bridgestone/firestone RE750/wideoval) are head and shoulders above the Pirelli all seasons that come stock on the GT's. All mods still apply IMHO.

I I live in Atlanta w/ lots of stop and go traffic, so the torque & power curve of the V6 and GT's up to about 3K on the tach overlap quite a bit. People also seem to forget the GT is at least $4600 more out the door compared to a comp equipped V6 as well.
