The 06 4.0 is not posi-traction. You may however have the traction-control, which uses the brakes to slow down the drive wheel during low traction conditions, which in turn prevents you from spinning tire or losing control.
The SCT tuner is a great upgrade, but it will not cause both of your wheels to burn-out. In order to do that, you either have to get a posi unit installed (its really hard to get the install right...even for professionals) in your stock 7.5" axle. Or you can opt for the stronger GT 8.8" axle from a takeoff parts website. Stock GT axles come with posi stock.
Don't worry about dumb questions, its the only way we learn.
