Hey guys for about 6 months now I have had the loud metal on metal clunk coming from the rear it happens when I go over uneven bumps such as small potholes or small raises in the street, it happens and speeds varying from 15-60. I have taken it to two different frod dealers each twice, and they have not been able to fix it, it is starting to happen more often now, and begining to really bother me cause something is definetly wrong. I am thinking of enacting the california lemon law, but I love my car and would much rather just get this issue ironed out. Anything you guys could think of would help me so i can just go into ford with a list of things for them to check. Thanks in advance guys.

Tyler

I see you have the eibach kit installed. Are the rear springs installed properly and not upside down? Had the same problem on my 97 when I swapped the springs. 1 of them was not installed properly. You could also be bottoming out.

I just got the springs after christmas this problem has been going on for some time now so that can't be the issue.

Wild guess... your exhaust pipe hitting the panhard bar... Scott noticed marks on mine where the pipe was hitting...

It could be as simple as the spare tire not secured.
Hopefully you get it resolved man.

Funny you should mention that... I had to stop at a rest area last night to tighten mine up! LOL!

Yeah Ford thought of that one 2 and told me to take it out and see if it still happens and it did, im just about ready to replace the whole suspension (actually why replace when you can upgrade?) just to see if it helps. Love my car but its a pain in the hiney sometimes.
