The V6s are a POS...

... with the exception of those that are Screaming Yellow, the drivers wear skirts, high heels, and their names fall somewhere between March and May.

 

Who'd buy used parts? Not me. That'd be like buying a used toothbrush.. does not happen...

 

do I have to go back and dig up all of the other topics that were closed because of the V6 versus a GT argument? I have a feeling soon this one will end up being closed like the rest.
The V6 has more power hp than my 97 GT had. However the new GT is better in performance and handling than the V6. That is a no brainer, FORD makes them that way. Get over it, get used to it and move on. To say the GT is better than a V6, well, duh. Of course it is. And the Shelby will be better than the Mustang GT. I guess some people cannot comprehend that fact. Do I personally have anything against a V6, heck no. It is a mustang. It doesn't have as much power as I wanted and yes, there are other features I like better on the GT, but I know I am not bashing any V6's. So I will leave you with this...... eace:

I love and appreciate the Gt- I drool over everyone I see. I just like my Eleanor the way she was born.

Plus I KNOW I would get into trouble with a GT.Lose my license and have too many tickets.

If the man gets a mustang HIS will be the Gt, and I will keep Ellie still. But I am strange, the six is the one I fell in love with.

 

And I'd rather have a $25k GT + a $5k supercharger that puts down over 400 rwhp and cost $5k less than the V6 Shelby...

Like Adrenalin said, a GT is better than a V6 and a Shelby is better than a GT...get over it. It is somewhat ridiculous to think otherwise.

That being said, like it has been said SO MANY times before, be happy/thankful for what you have. All the 05 Mustangs are great cars. I mean, I had a Honda Prelude in college and thought it was the cat's pamajas! A car is what you make of it. My GT is worth more to me than my friend's much more expensive G35 Coupe is to him, and I see that's true of some V6 owners and their Stangs...and that's something to respect, IMO.

And there will always be the ones who prefer Machs, Cobras(not fauxbras) and Classics too..
