GT Rotors
I would like to hear a recommendation from any of you guys for a good (quality & price) set of rotors (front & back - drill & slot) to upgrade my brakes. The ones on the front should be at least the same size as the GT (12.4").
Thanks,
Javier

upgrade your shoes stopping
If you didn't already know the V6 & V8 brakes in the rear are the same all you have to do is change rotors. The front is a little different the rotors on the V6 are smaller then the GT, so to upgrade the fronts to GT you have to change the caliper mounting bracket ( which you can purchase at a dealer, they run 35-40 apiece ) then buy some GT rotors, that's it, the only difference is the bracket and rotor! when you buy rotors, powerslot and powerstop come with 3yr warranties, I have powerstop cross drilled with evolution ceramic pads, hawk HPS and their ceramic are good as well, but the cost is more. The part # for the caliper bracket is ford part# ending with 134B, ford will try to tell you that the V6&V8 is the same bracket thats only because their computer has it listed wrong, just tell them to order the brackets ending with 134B two of them, there is no right and left, when you get the brackets it will s-197 GT casted in the bottom of them the V6 says s197 V6!. I hope this helps you

another thought
Go with drilled or slotted ,not drilled and slotted, the more machining the weaker the rotor.

125.00?
Tom,
I like to believe that price but, I find it hard especially with the name saleen attached to it, was it take off parts? I've never seen any brake kits under a $1000.00 from them, heck powerslot and powerstop rotors are over 100.00 apiece just the rotor, no caliper or pads, a good set of pads will cost 35-85.00 not sure why you need the calipers also, V6 & GT are the same.

Like I said they are GT take off parts. Parts taken off GT's to make Saleens. They are selling them instead of throwing them away. They are not Saleen parts, GT parts and usually have 5 mi or less on them.

understandable
So now you have an extra set of calipers for the front , I hope you didn't waste your time putting the Gt takeoffs on, there the same as V6, did you get the caliper mounting plates also? you will need them to make the switch. if not you can get them at your local dealership ( part # ends with 134B ).
