I have read here that some V6 owners have used the right side muffler from a new '05 GT and installed it on the V6 mustangs. Is there really a deeper sound difference? Any H.P. gains? Is this muffler really any different than the one that is already on our 6's?....thanks...........Kip

I'm only going to use the right muffler now and hang on to the left in case I decide to go with duals.

I checked with my local dealer and he said it would not effect the warranty at all. Even adding a cold air intake won't void the warranty, the warranty just won't cover the cold air intake if something goes wrong with that.

Forgive me, I have zip experience with mechanical stuff, but say I was to buy the GT mufflers ones on eBay. What do I need in order to get them to work on my car? Just take them to a muffler shop and open my wallet? Is there pipes, etc.. that I'll need?

Should bolt on in about 10 minutes. No new pipe needs to be run at all =)

A few local V6 owners have gotten 'duals' put on their car (offered as after market from the dealer and noe by a third party muffler guy). While he does not place another cut out on the left side, the job is professionally done and, other than the absence of the cutout, looks ok.
It's a true dual exhaust system.
Have read on the site that some folks have had problems with the O2 sensor and have been reduced to upgrading to premimum fuel...any thoughts or experience from anyone in this aspect of adding duals to the V6?
