So I'm thinking about doing a couple things to my V6 once I get it. First, I'm leaning toward having the pearl gold side panel stripes removed. Second, I really like the look of the GT grill. Not to say the V6 doesn't look sharp (it absolutely does), but those fog lamps really add a nice touch. Anyway, I'm curious how many of you have installed fog lamps on your V6? What's involved...is it hard to do?

Cost is $265 for the new grill with fog lamps. Another $65 for the corresponding light switch. Thoughts?

That grill doesn't quite fit the v6 correctly. I believe the grill sticks out slightly and there are other problems. You either have to use the GT bumper or modify that grill but it still won't quite fit. Do a search through the posts here, it's been covered quite a bit.

Sigh. Sounds pretty complicated. And not a perfect fit either...maybe I'll have to rethink this.

Ive been wondering this for a while, and Im gonna just up and ask it. Whats stopping all you guys from guying the GT lights, cutting a hole in the grille, and mounting them straight onto the v6?

The plastic molding is one piece with the grille. You can do that maybe, kinda how mr wicks did them, but I wouldnt cut my grille, and if I attach them over they would stick out a tad to much. Unless someone did it right it would be messy.

Yeah I understand... I used mr wicks lights on my car... It was as simple as taking a circle saw and cutting out an opening in the girlle, the using an epoxy to hold them in... whats stopping you from doing it with the GT lights?

I did my own and it was easy. Plus I like the smaller fogs rather than the big ones...

I've been very active in talking with Mike from Street Scene. A few of us have really done our best to give him ideas about what would look best. Check out the post on it. I really feel that it's going to offer the best look, fit, finish and function for what all of us crave - Factory Looking GT Fogs.

It's not 100% factory, but if you scroll through to the image I posted up of the black powder coat finish... it really REALLY looks sharp. I can't wait to get that kit. It's the best looking and the closest to what I want. Plus... I've been putting in my $.02 which (while I'm sure it hasn't done much to change the designs) makes me feel like it's more personal.

Here is a good fix for you. MR Wick and myself (Robotguy) have been working on a V6 grill with Gt lights. MR Wick will be selling them in the never future. Dont know the price but I will take a guess at 140? If you just wait 2 weeks they will be for sell on ebay. I will keep you posted. Oh here is the link talking about them! Tell me what you think

Not sure if I like it or not yet. Size looks perfect, finish is perfect, but I just dont know about the fog itself. Has a awkward look to it, maybe seeing it in other angles and lighting.

I was looking closely at that pic, and it appears that the pic on the front page of the cardomain site doesn't have the homemade hoiusing painted black. I think that is what is giving it a funny look.

Look at this pic:[attachmentid=26657]

It looks like in this picture the housing is painted flat black. looks much better than the pic on the front page.

Hey Grimlock, It looks like we both went the same way. Are those Blazer C120's? If so how did you wire them??

Here's the thread on the foglights. You read correctly, it cost me $50. The lights were $10 a piece from Walmart, the wireless switch was $30.

It's not hard to do. While there are lots of other options listed in this thread, I personally do not like any of them as much as the factory GT grille and lights. Plus the factory grille allows full directional aiming of the lights. Check out this vendor's kit on eBay:

http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZwcpparts

This is a new GT grille that has been modified to fit in the V6 opening. It comes with a wiring harness, switch, lights, grille & a modified hood latch. I've read a lot of good things about this one and plan on getting one myself if I go this route. I'd have one already, but I held out to see what the '06 Pony Package grille would look like. I'm actually still undecided at this point, but I'm leaning towards the GT grille. I like everything about the Pony Package grille except the giant honeycomb pattern, that really bothers me.

I've seen that listing, I have also been tempted to go with it because for me nothing has topped the GT grille for my tastes. I have also realized that maybe with our black cars the grille would look better, since you won't be able to tell it's very slight hang.
At this point I'm going to wait what the Street Scene distributers charge when theirs release.

I just finished my Grill with 6 1/2" lights. Looks amazing! After everything it costed me little under 70 dollars. (v6 grill, 2X6 1/2" lights, exoxy, black silicon)
tell me what you think of it!
