Just a quick question for anyone who has had better luck than myself getting in touch with Ford Racing. Does anyone know when Ford Racing will release their CAI for the V6 Mustang?

I have tried calling their tech hotline two days in a row to try to ask them, but I never get to talk to anyone because they dont answer.

Thanks for any responses.

When it does come out, I just have to decide which CAI kit to get. Ford Racing, K&N, MMR. I have a feeling the choice is going to be tough. Any opinions?

I wish Ford Racing would make more information available on the CAI. I'm definitely interested but not gonna order it sight unseen. Anyone know of an accurate pic of a Ford Racing CAI?

Haven't seen a pic of the Ford Racing intake yet, but I've heard it does come with an inlet tube.

Another board said the K&N CAI is going to $400 - most expensive so far I believe.

yeah but that's only if you get it from K&N directly, it's cheaper from their vendors.
$286 here, making on of the cheaper ones

Does it require a tuner like SCT?

I have a feeling the Ford Racing intake doesn't need a tune (though could still use a tune for more gains). The tune wouldn't set so well with warranty issues.

This was a Email I got back from K&N recently about their new system. Sounds good but I still would like to see some installed pics so... someone buy one before I do

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in K&N products. The K&N intake kit is designed as a direct bolt-on kit. It does not require a re-tune of the computer. The kit is life time warranted and easily installed.

Thank you,

Also just ran across this seems like a nice deal on the K&N.
