So on the Ford Racing website, they have posted a CAI kit for the 05 V6. It seems reasonably priced at $225 because all the others I see are closer to $300. The question I have is that the asteric next to the part number says that it is "Not leagal for sale or use on a pollution controled vehicle."" What does this mean to me? Does this mean that I shouldnt get that one? Please help.Ford Racing...its number 15 on the list.

Thanks

I called up Ford Racing about the CAI. They said it wasn't available yet, they didn't have any more info about it and to try back every couple of weeks.

Not sure about the disclaimer, but I imagine it alters emissions a bit. Though, maybe not enough to fail a test.

Has anyone else had problems with a high flow intake in a strict emissions state?

Ford probably has to say that because they didn't get the car certified with that equipment. Probably doesn't mean anything. A CAI could only make it leaner (less poluting) I'd guess.
