Exclamation AT Flowmaster Exhaust rattling........

My American Thunder exhaust is rattling when I turn on the car and when I put her in reverse. It's embarassing.....
I'm guessing it's the clamp. No, I still haven't changed the clamp . I know, I know......
I've heard about how sucky flowmasters clamps are. Will a new saddle clamp fix my problem?

Thanks!

YES! Unless it's the baffle, then no... I used the saddle(U-bolt) clamps from the start and no problems at all

Can I see a pic of what clamp you have installed? I've gone to my neighborhood car shop and I've seen some sucky/cheap looking U bolt clamps.

Those sucky/cheap clamps are the ones. You can get a stainless one from Summit if you want.

Another question....

Should I place the new clamp in the same spot as my current clamp?

Attach them at the very end of the mufflers(next to te nubs) where it meets the OEM over axle pipe and torque down. I did not get the SS clamps... I believe that I paid $3.00 for both. No one will see them... If you're worry about appearance, then paint them black to match the mufflers. That's what I did

I installed the Flowmaster AT axlebacks on my new 2006GT.. same story.. after about 500 miles, I was getting a consistent metallic vibration @ 1400 RPMs.. thought is was a heat-shield or something. So took it in to local Ford Dealer. They pegged the vibration to my Flowmasters, and were able to pull both mufflers back off the over-axle pipe! You can't torque the supplied brackets down enough. One question: the U-bolt discussed above: any concerns about crimping the pipes with these? I was going to get a good pair of SS band clamps.. thoughts?

I torque'd mine down so much that the bracket that the U-bolts sliped through bent on both clamps and still did not crimp the mufflers. Still no leaks, no rattles, no headaches...
