Which exhaust?

What is the best dual exhaust to get for our v6s. Im looking for a decent price and a good sound. How much would it cost to get an exhaust installed?

if you get take off parts from a gt its not that expensive....

take it to a shop like it is and ask for true dual exhaust and your looking at around 3-400 or more i would say.

Well, getting a decent price may be open to opinion.Ya,the gt takeoffs are a decent cheap option. Ford racing dual setup sounds awesome in my opinion, and that's just hearing it on video clips. My 2nd choice would prolly be dual flowmaster 44's,of which i have a single setup at the moment.

i know i can get a true dual exhaust with flowmaster 40's from the headers back for $350

but thats without cats.... and no x or h pipe... just straight pipes.

it all depends on what you really want to do

What do you think of magnaflow? They have a dual setup for the v6 for a little less than $700. Does that sound good?

I have the FRPP/Borla stingers on mine and I absolutely love the sound. The price on these mufflers is pretty high, but I got mine from a forum member on here for a good price, so if you keep an eye out for any sets for sale on here/ebay you can get a much better deal.

Only one way to find out.

That should be a pretty good setup. I have heard it before and it sounds great.

Hey man....I have gone through so many mufflers Ill make a list and my impressions to each one. But definetly go with an H pipe....if you want the deeper tone. Here is what i've tried so far.
I have a GT hipe pipe and midpipes

1. Corsas - This is by far the best set of muffers ive put on so far. (my current set up). There is no drone at all and when you step on it it screams, there is a few that come close but nothing like corsas. they're pretty expensive but definetly worth it.

2. Magnalows (gt system) - these drone very little, and sound isnt so loud....quality isnt the best either.

3. Pypes- shi**Y muffers...drone.....and cheap quality.

4. Frpp stingers- as far as sound goes it is right up there with the corsas....they look good too with the 3.5 inch tips and stamped "ford racing" on the tips. Only thing is that there is drone.

5. Flowmaster (american thunders)- These sound good. 7/10. .but are freaking big and are a b**** to get installed (especially with my big a$$ hands. Come with cheap clamps but have sweet 4"tips. These do drone and start rusting pretty fast. Well mine did on the bottom.

6. FRPP gta's- Look like GT take offs with 4" tips. Nothing special about them.....they are a little louder than gt take offs........dont drone .......thats about it.

7. JBA's- I didnt like the tips on these. The sound is a 5/10, there is drone.

8. MRT's- Definetly stay away from these! They sound the best at start up and idle but once you start going it drones like crazy. Doesnt sound good in higher rpms.

9. GT take offs- they are okay. They dont drone and better sound overall over stock. You can get these very cheap and are a good "first muffler(s)".

I know there is a few more I left out but that is all i can remember for now...ill add more when I remember. Also remember that I have a V6...so everything I posted refers to my 2006 V6 stang. Any questions let me know thanks.

That's one of the best sounding V6 Mustangs I've ever heard.

Can someone tell me where to get the individual parts listed? Thanks!
