Dual Exhaust Help
I backed into my girlfriend's car the other day and 'm going to ahve to get a new rear bumper cover. I'm planning on buying a GT take-off cover already painted to save money, but this means I'll need to go dual exhaust, which is fine by me. I bought a set of GT take-off mufflers last year and put the passenger side on, but the driver side is still sitting in it's box. I can have the exhaust shop fab something in the way of a pipe to hook up the driver side muffler, but I still have a few questions. First, what parts will I need as far as hangers go for the driver side? Second, how difficult is it to change out the rear bumper cover? Is this something I could possible do myself or should I let a body shop handle it? Any help is greatly appreciated.
email clevparts@aol.com and ask him. hes got a package with the stuff you need
Having been there and done that, I would strongly suggest using the left side GT mid pipe and Ford hangers. The parts will cost you around $160. The reasons: 1) The GT midpipe is stainless steel and mandrel bent exact for the application 2) Your car has predrilled holes to accomodate the Ford hangers and your system will align perfectly provided your installer knows his stuff with regard to the X or H pipe fabrication.
