Can you add Traction Control after purchase?
#1
This may be a really stupid question, but I have an '05 v6 that did not come with TCS (traction control). Living in Phoenix, this really isn't an issue at all. However, it looks like we will be moving to Indiana, and I'm guessing the mustang won't play well in the snow.
Can TCS be added? If so, any ideas on cost? I will definitely be getting snow tires if I can't get TCS added, but it would be nice to have both. My aunt has TCS on her v6, and she said that it performed great in the snow!

The factory TCS is integrated with ABS. I looked into the same question and found it can't be done. I'm also moving north also and it appears the best option is look for a new limited slip differential, like TLok. I think that's about the best option. They're not terribly expensive -- 200 or so for the part plus installation.

Thanks for the information. I knew that ABS would be required, but I wasn't sure if it was possible.
I will probably go ahead and get T-LOK and snow tires, and hopefully that be good enough!

Tony,
We have really decided to move back for family reasons. I don't have a job yet, but I'm looking for one! We're not sure when the move will happen.
The '66 will be going with us, and will be stored in a nice garage! It's amazing how many people have asked about the '66!
