CAI plus "SCT" tuner

Anyone know where I can find the absolute BEST deal on a good CAI with the SCT Xcaliber 2?

It is possible just to get an 87 tune and still get great performance, right?

This will be my first mod! My one year anniversary is coming up, and I want to get something nice for my baby

P.S. I Know this topic has been beaten to death. Please don't flame me...

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Doug at BamaChips.

Yes the 87 octane will give you improved performance, but the 93 Octane tune is worth the little bit extra at the pump.

What kind of performance enhancements should I expect with ONLY the tuner and not the CAI? (i.e. horsepower gains, torque gains, etc.)

I can help you out on saving some money on the CAI, part.
I am switching to the X charger and I can no longer use my C&L CAI.
It has been used for about a month at the most.
I used it with tunes from Doug at bama and it has been most impressive!
If you are interested in the CAI let me know, you can PM me.

Check out brenspeed, I have just the SCT II and run the 87 most of the time, but the premium tune is astounding when the price for high octane is right.

I would avoid rpmoutlet because many people have had horrible experiences with them.

I have a complete MMR V-6 CAI, High Flow Tube, Heat Shield and the SCT Xcal II with the 89 and 93 octane tunes for sale. I have pulled 212RWHP on my 2005 V6 Automatic. I paid over $700 for the setup and would be willing to sell it for much less if you are interested. Thanks

My guess is the tune is specific to an auto tranny and would not work with the 5-speed unless you knew someone that could go in an tweak that piece of the program. Sorry

I would suggest giving Justin at Velocity Mustang Performance a call. He's the best in the business and sells the SCT v2 for $379.00 with FREE UPS ground shipping. He will help you on any custom tunes you need as well.

Do you know if Justin will update your tunes for free with future mods?
