Just installed my Borla Single CAT Back system yesterday. I have to say the installation was a snap since it was a perfect fit. The sound is great!

Thanks to everyone who posted feedback on their exhuast systems. I used the information to decide on what to purchase!

Sounds awesome!!

I ordered one from my local Ford dealer and they said it was on back order and with no ETA.

I might call them and cancel my order and order it from v6mustangstuff instead.

Anyone know if you gain any HP/TQ over stock?

Just curious why you choose the borla over the other chooses a V6 stuff. Im new to this site and ready to put on an axleback but I am confused to which one. I would like it a little louder than stock and more the sound of a v8. alot to ask, I know but thats what Im hunting for.

I basically made my decison based upon what others had to say and listening to sound clips. You will be very happy with the a Borla catback system. Its sounds great.... And in my opinion it rumbles just like the v8 exhaust system.

If I had stayed with a single exhaust, I would have gone with the Borla!

Those Borlas sound great.
Anyone know if there even is any difference in internal design from the GT's? Even if there is fitting isn't a problem lol.
After hearing it I think it would sound great to have duals with some Borlas

That was the same thing I was thinking after I installed it. I think if you put dual Borlas on it would sound awsome... I can only imagine double the rumble....

WOW! This Borla sounds the best of all the aftermarkets I have heard! IMHO most of the aftermarket V6 exhaust systems make the car sound to 'blatty' and 'gnat-like'. I've kept stock because I did not want any buyers regrets. This Borla has me thinking about it again.. Also, did you put a CAI kit in with the SCT tune? Any concerns about Borla + CAI + "mild" 89 octane SCT tune voiding warranty?

Eric.

PS: The Ashampoo audio player works great for .ogg files.

Eric.

When I was first looking to buy an after market exhuast system I didn't want that crotch rocket sound either. This exhuast has a great rumble and very low tones. Another reason why I got just a catback system is that I didn't want any warranty issues.

Currently I am not running CAI system. All I have done thus far is a catback and SCT tune for the reason of not having any issues with my factory warranty. From everything I had read installing a CAI is pushing the warranty boundry... But its my understanding that if anything did go wrong the dealership would have to prove it was caused by the upgrade.

A good thing about the SCT tune is that you can put back the original factory tune anytime you go for emissions or to the dealership for work. I just keep it in my glove box in case my car breaks down on the side of the road and I need to be towed to the dealership. This way I can flash it back quick...

The SCT tune by far is one of the most noticeable upgrades you can get for your v6... The second you WOT you'll know that your running a new program... But its a little on the expensive side....

Am debating whether to go Magnaflow or Borla (Ford Racing), but I'll just be going with an axleback. Anyone know how much of a difference there is in those systems (Magnaflow vs Borla) between cat back and axle back?

I'm thinking that in this instance StangPower is talking about the same thing that you are. I purchased and installed a Ford Racing (Borla) axleback back in June. Once the exhaust settled in the sound was and continues to be incredible!!!

I think, thus far, its one of my favorite mods!!
