I was looking for an automatic shift kit for the 2005 Mustang and was wondering exactly how these work, as in does it still shift like an automatic or do you do it manually without a clutch? Plus is it worth the price, how much gain do you really get from one of these?

thanks for any help

Shift kits usually help firm up shifts and sometimes change the rpm ranges. Most are done electronically anymore. What kit are you looking at?

I think an SCT tuner will do what you want. Or the SCT 2 that's coming out soon.

What other options do I have other than a shift kit? are there any electronic shift kits that are really good? or any bolt on mods? or anything else that will help the shift timing?, besides a tune
