Any Ideas Were I Can Find 08+ Mustang GT Take Off Exhaust?

I imagine it will probably cost the same to get two of them then simply one. Any know where I can get one or if any one is selling an 08+ right side Mustang take off exhaust?

I just took off my entire system H-pipe back, has about 5k miles on it.
If you're looking for newer, though, there's always newtakeoff.com, and of course fleabay.

They are relatively inexpensive buy local if you can, I got mine for $60 buck and a short drive otherwise you have to pay shipping. I only put on the one.

The two I took off my 2008 GT at about 4000 miles are in a storage shed. I am interested in freeing up the space. The tips are close to perfect.

hey monkeycat, you should think about getting that h pipe system from co_vaporgt. i`m so glad i went with the h pipe on my v6 and gt muffs. it sounds great and looks ok too. its easy to cut your bumper for duals and you`ll be glad you did this when you finally do it. you can use a pc of typing paper to make the pattern and just a sanding drum in a electric drill. i used a hog bit in a die grinder to rough cut it then the sanding drum. i touched up the edge with some touch up paint. i spent way too much but it is a nice setup. i got the stainless jba h pipe kit 379.00( not sure if you can get it any more) 2 gt takeoffs 80.00, and 2 ford factory hangers 110.00( did not like the hangers in the kit) and installed it myself.

I found mine on craigslist. I got everything except for the H pipe for $50. So far, I've just bolted the right muffler to the existing exhaust system, but I've got (most of) the parts I need if (when?) I decide to go with a dual exhaust.

I've heard that a dual exhaust decreases low end torque and horsepower on stock or lightly modded V6 engines. Can anyone confirm this?

I got to save some money right now, but probably by the end of October ill be able to afford it.
Does any one know about how much horse power this will add?

CO_VaporGT_09 9/28/09 01:30 PM

At least 100hp, maybe more if you get the vortex intake spinner thingy. And that's at the wheels, not crank.

Seriously, though, doubt it'll be much, maybe 5-10?? Maybe feel it a bit at the seat, but it won't be overwhelming. Cold air intake and a tune will give you a whole lot more.

Also, remember that any take-off system doesn't usually include the H pipe or an X pipe, that'll likely be separate or extra.

if there is any decreases, its not anything you can notice. at least i havent. and really, you cant feel a 5 h.p. gain either. but it sure looks and sounds sweet. it was my first real mod. no regrets.

Did you install it your self?
If not how much where you charged for labor on the install?
