Probably not rebadged. They use the Hurst for the GT Drag Pack.

Pretty cool stuff. Way overpriced, but I expect that. It's nice to know they think about us every once and a while.

Very sweet. This will expand their market to performance enthusiasts and help land a counterpunch to the new Camaro. Smart marketing indeed or perhaps FOMOCO reads this board. I suppose they'll use GT mufflers?

I like the package...to bad that Ford did not do this when the new Mustangs came out in 2005 it would have saved me a lot of cash.

Looks OK, but IMO the fake hood scoop and side scoops re over the top.

Now if only you cold sub the grill insert for some fog lights like the Pony Package...

Over all though, I'd say Ford's hit a home run with this one!

Mike
PS they owe me royalties for the rear blackout

I think it's cool they are using the x-pipe set up.....that's what I have on mine.

The only thing lacking is I'd like to see a little higher angle shot of the front hood and stripes. Just to see what they (Ford) did with them behind the scoop? All in all, it could be quite interesting...

I just ordered a pair of these V6's (option code 54D) - one in grabber orange and one in vapor silver, both with charcoal leather to match the stripe. Can't wait to see them in person.

Based on the parts listed, IMO you are looking at the V6 version of the Shelby GT:

-Appearance Package: Roughly equivalent to the GT upfitters package
-FR1: $1049. On the SGT
-FR3: $1279. On the SGT
-X-pipe: ~$140. On the SGT
-Hurst shifter: ~$270. On the SGT

You are getting roughly the same parts installed for ~$5K cheaper than you can on the SGT (SGT does include GGT + misc parts such as plaques, hood pins, badges, letters, door seals which comes out to an extra $~1350).

Not a bad deal for those in the market for a V6 mustang that is a little bit different. With the FR 1 and FR3, it should be a good handling car with the lighter V6 weight over the front wheels.

That looks like the GT appearance package scoop. What I'd like to see on the V6's is the inclusion of Traction Control and ABS in the package. When I was looking for a Mustang I configured one and with no extras the ABS and Traction Control brought the price up to the 22K range.

I do like the Blacked out taillight panel.

If they were going to use the GTAP Scoop, they should've changed the honeycomb portion with something with horizontal lines or flat, so it looks better with the new grill.

I think the grille is the same one offered by CDC for about $280. It is a complete replacement grille. They also offer the grille emblem for another $35.00
